Idea will present VoLTE Service this September, expected to add 25 million users

Idea, the third largest telecom company in India, is preparing to launch VoLTE service in the second quarter (July-September) of 2017. This information is given by the company’s managing director Himanshu Kapaniya. He said, “We are going to present VoLTE service soon. We have completed the test. We will introduce this service in the next two-quarters. We are planning to connect around 20 to 25 million users with this service in the beginning.

Himanshu Kapaniya also said that by the year 2020, the number of broadband users in the country is expected to reach one billion and the company wants to take advantage of this opportunity.

What is VoLTE service?
This means Voice over Long Term Evolution. Its direct meaning is with HD Calling. Through this, users will be able to make voice calls with high quality. In addition to the ability of voice and data services and better voice and data quality, it allows telecom operators to use more spectrum. Also eliminating the need for using different SIM for voice and calling.
Let us tell you that Idea introduced its 4G services in 19 circles in the January-March quarter. Also introduced 3G services in 2 circles. In this quarter, the company is offering its 3G services in 15 circles.
