Moving in 5G technology is challenging for India

5G technology

Walking with shoulder in the case of 5G technology with global markets will be very challenging for India. According to industry stakeholders and experts, moving the existing network to 5G due to backhaul in India is a big challenge, when only fewer than 20 percent of the network in India is running on the fiber optic cable. Reliance Communication’s EVP Jalaj Choudhary said, “One of the fundamental requirements of the 5G is a strong backhaul which is not currently present in India. This challenge is bigger for India because it is the most time-consuming part and also extremely costly in the situation in which India is now.

What is backhaul?

Backhaul is a network that connects cell sites to Central Exchange. If India gets 5G by 2020 and also covers the basic challenges to bring this network, even then a good 5G network can not be expected unless India has a reliable and strong backhaul.

Fiber Backhaul will Superfast Internet Speed:

80 percent of cell sites in India are connected to the microwave backhaul. While 20% of the sites are connected via fiber. Analysts believe there is a problem in the backhaul bandwidth. This is because they have been using the old bands that have been able to provide a capacity of 300 Mbps only. Whereas backbone based on fiber has the ability to provide unlimited capabilities. Chandan Kumar, Director of Marketing and Integrated Solutions of China’s telecom gear manufacturer Huawei, said that even though the new spectrum has been discovered in the Indian market and it has been combined with the global spectrum plan, but still India has a strong backhaul network is required.

Let us tell you that in the Mobile World Congress in March, Samsung and Reliance Jio announced their Infill & Growth project to make the 4G network better and better. The statement given in this press conference indicates that both Samsung and Jio are ready for the 5G. However, the 5G network will not replace the 4G, but a separate framework will be prepared for it.

Better connectivity between gadgets:

According to Samsung’s officials, the 5G will be like a very powerful Wi-Fi, which will transfer data from the speed of millions of times in the radius of a few kilometers more than the current one. This will allow a significantly faster connectivity between different applications, machines, and gadgets. For example, gadgets in your home will be able to control each other according to the needs of each other by connecting. Wires will not be required for cable TV and content will be sent through Wireless. Officials of Reliance Jio said that there is a lot of probability and improvement in LTE, but as far as we are concerned, we are ready to adopt and implement 5G.

Airtel and BSNL also in the 5G race:

At the beginning of April, Airtel and BSNL had announced to create a new strategy in collaboration with Nokia to provide 5G network services to its customers. Nokia’s market head (India) Sanjay Malik said, ‘Our aim is to bring 5G here. What things are needed for him, it will be seen. Those apps will be identified, which can be useful for target audiences. This is the initial functioning for entry in 5G.
